Strong Standards to Reduce Global Warming Pollution from Vehicles Approved

In June 2004, the California Air Resources Board approved strong standards that will ensure that global warming emissions from cars, SUVs and light trucks are reduced by at least 30 percent starting in 2009.  This victory came after Environment California Research & Policy Center delivered over 109,000 public comments from Californians in support of clean air and advocate Sujatha Jahgirdar testified before the board.
