CALIFORNIAN’S OPPOSE OIL DRILLING

(Sacramento) - A new poll by PPIC shows that Californian’s strongly oppose oil drilling off the coast of California.

“We saw, once again, the damage that is caused when oil accidents happen,” said Gina Goodhill, Oceans Advocate for Environment California. “Can you imagine what a spill like the one in the Gulf would do to California? Nothing is worth that risk.”

The spill was caused when an explosion on a BP’s Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on April 20th The BP oil spill is the worst oil spill in American history killing 11 workers, injuring 17 workers, and spilling between 85 million and 100 million gallons of oil.

“We need our elected officials to pass S.3358 and demand no more drilling off the coast of California,” said Goodhill.
