Could this be the year?

With a new president and greener Congress, thanks to victories by President Barack Obama and Rep. Jerry McNerney, both of whom Environment California endorsed during the election, we’re preparing a major push for a dramatic change in our course on energy. 2009 could be the year America shifts from dirty and dangerous power to widely-popular solutions, like wind and solar power. Environment California is helping to lead a national effort to bring 100 percent renewable electricity to America.
 
We were encouraged when President Obama took Environment California’s “Clean Energy for America” pledge during the presidential primaries to meet all of America’s future energy needs with clean, renewable energy and to make clean energy a top priority. We will be working with his administration and our important congressional delegation to bring home a new energy future.
