Nothing we use once should be floating indefinitely in the oceans, and marring our beaches. Join with us as we work to ban single-use Styrofoam take containers.

Letter Dear Governor Schwarzenegger, Every year, our beaches are littered with thousands of tons of trash. An estimated 80% of marine debris comes from land based sources. We need to stop treating our beautiful coasts and oceans like a trash can. I want you to ban single use Styrofoam take-out food containers (AB 1358). Styrofoam and polystyrene foam can last for hundreds of years, and may never biodegrade. It's time we switch to more eco-friendly options. As your constituent, I urge you to support this measure.
