Products marketed for infants and children are not always completely safe for their use. Many contain toxic chemicals that may have detrimental health impacts for children exposed during critical stages of development.

The chemical bisphenol-A (BPA) has been proven to be dangerous to small children. California should ban BPA.

Letter Dear Governor, Please ban BPA. I am convinced by hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific studies that Bisphenol-A is a dangerous endocrine disruptor. Since babies and toddlers are so tiny, even a small exposure can cause harm. Ban BPA in baby bottles, sippy cups and formula cans. Many stores and manufacturers have voluntarily removed BPA from their products and their shelves; it is time for the rest to do so, so that all Californians, whether they shop at the Dollar Tree or a fancy specialty market, can rest assured that they are not exposing their children to toxic chemicals.
