Televisions are fast becoming the hummers of our home, consuming more electricity than any other appliance. It's not because we can't make them more efficient, but that the manufacturers aren't even trying.

Take action today by sending the California Energy Commission an e-mail in support of the TV efficiency standards.

Letter Dear California Energy Commission: I want my energy efficient TV! Energy efficiency is a no-brainer for California and we support your efforts to continue California’s tradition of being the most energy efficient state in the country. We urge you to adopt the proposed HDTV efficiency standards at your upcoming November 18 meeting. These efficiency standards will save consumers $1 billion a year while preventing more than 3 million tons per year of global warming pollution. Thank you for your leadership on this issue.
